ALTAR will be opened with Sarah's Land Acknowledgement from the Deep by Sarah Prosper.
ALTAR is about Eugenio, who moved from Mexico to St. John's less than a year ago but in that time, has experienced deep love and deeper heartbreak when his new boyfriend inexplicably “ghosted” him. Looking to the holiday Día de Muertos and his father’s previous experience with paranormal activities, Eugenio decides to build an altar in the hopes that he will be able to summon his boyfriend’s ‘ghost’ to sort out the end of their relationship once and for all.
